The conflict with the Basketball Federation has been resolved and Prometheus will return to the Ukrainian championship next season. Vladimir Dubinsky, president of the club from Slobozhansky, said about this in an interview with the French edition of BASKET.
“It’s not a very good situation, but during the war we realized that we had to unite to stay strong. We had negotiations with the federation and decided that Prometheus will continue playing in the Ukrainian Super League next season.
We need to be more careful, stronger. The federation also understands this, and we have made some mistakes. But our dream is to win the Eurocup, play in the Euroleague. Sport is the most important thing.
And if we can play in the Eurocup, if we can play in the Euroleague, we must follow this path, we will try to be among the best.
This is our dream and I am sure that we will find a solution in the federation, we will play in the Ukrainian championship next season. We found some points of understanding with the leadership of the federation about how it would work,” said Dubinsky.
Recall that earlier there was a conflict between the leadership of Prometheus and the FBU, as a result of which the team withdrew from the championship of Ukraine this season.
