NBA West leaders New Orleans and Memphis extend winning streaks

Leading the NBA Western Conference, New Orleans defeated the Phoenix (128:117) in the next regular season game.

Among the winners, striker Zion Williamson scored 35 points, Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas scored a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds).

The Pelicans win for the sixth straight time, leading the NBA West with a 17-8 win-loss ratio.

Second-placed Memphis (17–9) also extended its winning streak to five games by beating Detroit 114-103.

Luka Doncic’s 33 points and 11 rebounds didn’t help Dallas beat Milwaukee on home soil (105:106), Giannis Antetokounmpo had 28 points and 10 rebounds for the Bucks.

In the other matches of the day, New York beat Charlotte (121:102), Indiana was stronger than Washington (121:111), Orlando won at home against Toronto (113:109), Brooklyn “has edged Atlanta (120:116), Sacramento beat Cleveland (106:95), Los Angeles Lakers lost the third straight game, losing to Philadelphia (122:133), and Minnesota picked up a win on Utah (118:108).
