Cherkasy Mavpy signed American shooting guard BJ Maxwell.
He has already arrived in Ukraine and started training with the team. He can make his debut in the Ukrainian Super League on January 10 in a game with the Polytechnic-Galicia club.
He started his career as a shooting guard in 2015 with Aibileen Christian Wildcats. In subsequent years, Maxwell played for the US minor leagues Detroit-Mercy Titans, St. Edwards Hilltops and Indianapolis Jaguars.
In Europe, Maxwell played for the Azerbaijani Neftchi. He averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.5 steals in 26 minutes.
