Golden State Warriors defenseman Stephen Curry became the first-ever Western Conference Finals Series Playoffs MVP winner. This was reported by the NBA press service.
Named after Lakers legend Magic Johnson, the award is given for the first time to the Western Conference Finals MVP. The top player in the Eastern Finals will receive a similar award named after Boston legend Larry Bird.
In the Western Final Series “Golden State” beat Dallas 4-1. Curry averaged 23.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 7.4 assists in five games.
