Former player of the Ukrainian national basketball team Ruslan Otverchenko died at the age of 34, reports the press service of the Ukrainian Basketball Federation (FBU).
As reported, Otverchenko died in Kyiv due to heart problems.
Ruslan played for Ukraine youth teams of all ages and played 12 games for the national team, took part in the 2017 European Championship. He played for Ukrainian Super League clubs Kyiv, Donetsk, Budivelnik, Cherkasy Mavpy, Prometheus, as well as for the Spanish Manresa. In 2017, Otverchenko became the champion of Ukraine with Budivelnik.
