The captains and starters of each conference for the next All-Star Game in the NBA have already been released by the league; see the related players for the friendly match

Last Thursday, the 26th, the NBA announced the captains and holders the All-Star Game from 2023. LeBron Jamesof Los Angeles Lakersand Giannis Antetokounmpoof Milwaukee Buckswere the most voted from each conference to command the two teams (the same configuration of leaders in 2020) in the biggest basketball friendly in the world.

The 72nd edition of the All-Star Game is scheduled to take place on February 19 at 10 pm (Brasília time). the house of utah jazz, Salt Lake City, will host the event for the second time in its history; the first was in 1993. Participating athletes, selected by three voting groups (fans, athletes and press) were classified by position. Check the list below:

NEW FORMAT

The seven reserves of each team, chosen by the coaches, will be announced next Thursday, 2. LeBron and Giannis must select the players of their teams through a “draft”, having the most voted athletes as options. There will be a novelty in the 2023 All-Star Game: the squads will be formed by the captains half an hour before the match takes place.

It is worth mentioning that LeBron James, who is going to his 19th edition of the All-Star Game, is undefeated with the teams he formed an incredible five seasons ago. Antetokounmpo, who had the chance to defeat him as team leader in 2020 (but failed to take advantage of it), seeks to break the veteran star’s hegemony.
