One of the great idols in the history of American basketball, and current player of the lakers,LeBron James is close to breaking yet another record in his long professional career. Within a few days, the player could become the highest scorer in NBA history, surpassing the already retired Kareem-Abdul Jabbar.
LeBron is currently 38 years old, and in 2023 he will be completing 20 years since he made it to the world’s top basketball league. Since then he has won four league titles, in addition to MVP rings (best player of the season) also on four occasions, and two Olympic gold medals for the US National Team.

His performance in his team’s last victory, against the Knicks helped the team win, yielded a triple-double, and brought them just 89 points short of passing the NBA’s leading scorer. With 38,387, Kareem is still the highest scoring holder in history, but is close to being surpassed by LeBron, who currently has 38,298.
In addition to scoring, the number of assists is also on the radar of the American legend. With the 11 passes for points made last Tuesday night, the 31st, he reached the 4th position of the greatest assistants in the history of the league, having passed important names such as Mark Jackson and Steve Nash.
“The points record never, ever crossed my mind, because I’ve always been a pass-first guy.”, highlighted the star in a recent interview with the North American press. The California franchise now has a 24-28 record, ranked 13th in the Western Conference. The last triumph was obtained only in overtime.
