Magic Johnson, surrendering at LeBron’s feet: “I never thought…”

The legend earvin “Magic” Johnson surrendered this Tuesday to LeBron Jamesthat became leading scorer in NBA history by surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s mark.

Although LeBron scored most of his points during his two spells with the Cleveland Cavaliers and his years with the Miami Heat, Magic, a Los Angeles Lakers legend, was happy to see “King James” achieving this record with the team from the city of California.

“It means more to me and our fans because you put on the purple and gold jersey and broke the record as a Laker.”he hinted with a smile. Later, Magic highlighted on his Twitter account that “This historic moment is very special because we will never see another LeBron James”.

“I don’t think anyone will top LeBron as the NBA’s leading scorer!”he assured.

With 38 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder (he needed 36), LeBron broke the legendary record of Abdul-Jabbar, currently from 1989 with 38,387 points, and put it at 38,390 points, waiting for it to continue to rise in the next games.

LeBron, 38, combined this monumental achievement with an amazing career that included four NBA titles and four MVP awards.

In his 20th season in the league, LeBron continues to compete at an exceptional level and is averaging 30.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7 assists per game this year.
