Lithuanian Zalgiris continues to help Ukraine in the fight against the Russian invaders. This time, the most titled and famous basketball club in their country will sell a unique item at the auction.
The team put up for sale its Lithuanian Champions Cup in the 14/15 season. All proceeds from the sale of the lot will go to Ukraine.
“Kaunas Zalgiris is a fan of Ukraine and presents the only trophy of LKL champions 2014/2015.
It is very symbolic, because the war in Ukraine started in 2014,” said Gintaras Krapikas, assistant coach of Žalgiris, who won this trophy as head coach in the 14/15 season and coached Ukrainian Azovmash from Mariupol in 2011/ 12.
The starting price of the lot is 1000 euros, the minimum bid is 100 euros. The auction ends at noon on February 16th.
