Why did you change the name on your uniform from Anderson to Tuscany?

“Juan Toscano-Anderson is my full name on my birth certificate and when I was young, on the first day of school, you would say present and some teachers thought my name was Toscano or they were confused. So I decided on John Anderson. When I entered high school, John Anderson was easier to wear: it was easier to wear the jersey, in college as well. After college I went to play professionally in Mexico. Because of how I got the nationality is because of my mother, who is Tuscany, her last name is Tuscany, so that’s what I wore on my jersey. “

“Those who know my story know that Mexico has revived my career, it’s a place that has given me a chance to play and show my talents. If I don’t have that nationality, I don’t know if I can play or be here in NBA six years later. And I want to have Toscano-Anderson on my jersey, but it’s too long, it doesn’t look good.My mom raised me, I love her to death, so it’s a tribute to my family , because they became part of my success and I want them with me along the way.
