“Boston Celtics” officially announcement on the appointment of Joe Mazzulla as the team’s head coach.
Details of the deal with the 34-year-old specialist have not been disclosed. Mazzulla became the 19th head coach in Celtics history.
Mazzulla joined Boston’s coaching staff in the summer of 2019 as an assistant coach. Following Aime Udoki’s suspension for the 2022/23 season, he was appointed as interim head coach.
Under his leadership, Boston sits first in the NBA Eastern Conference standings with a 42-17 win-loss ratio.
