In his presentation at the phoenix suns, Kevin Durant made a point of remembering his passage through the brooklyn nets and how all the players in the squad strive every day to keep fighting. In addition, the number 35 said that he built a family there and that they will always be like a family to KD.
There were a lot of ups and downs, but I loved the hard work. Everyone in Brooklyn worked hard too, so I ended up raising a family there. They will always be part of my life. We didn’t achieve what we wanted to achieve in terms of titles, but I loved everyone’s effort.”
Durant also talked about the process of his return after the injury he suffered in the Achilles and how the whole process was done in the New York team, thanking him for everything that was offered in the four years that the star stayed in the team. The player almost got emotional when he spoke about what he experienced in the team and all the positive energy of his teammates.
“No matter what, everyone there did their best every day, regardless of what was reported in the media or what our teammates did, in the end everyone went to the gym and worked hard. I love these guys, I get emotional talking about it, because it was a special four years of my career, coming off an Achilles injury, they helped me with a lot of things. I wish them success for their bright future.”
