– Yes, I am not participating this year, but Anthony Brown is from us, from UNICS – he will participate in the three point shooting competition. Could I participate this time? I was absent a lot because of a hand injury… I don’t know, no one has asked questions about that this year. If asked, I would probably have gladly accepted as well. But I’m not angry: I had such an experience, but this year other guys will give up, and we will follow.
– UNICS unexpectedly beat the leader of the VTB United League this week. What was the key to success in the game against your former club CSKA?
I must say that both teams played very well. At first we had an advantage, then we lost it. CSKA is not the opponent you can go wrong with. We had a few failures, while CSKA played well. But there’s only one secret – defense: the less you give to score, the better. But the two teams have scored more than a hundred points, the two opponents are technically gifted. Of course, somewhere luck was on our side. Besides, they played in our hall, it’s a pleasure to play with such fan support. Both opponents look very dignified. Two contenders (for the title), who are going very calmly. CSKA shows incredible basketball. And we, in turn, try to build our own game. We also had very successful matches.
