Defender “Zenith” Vitaly Fridzon called participation in the All-Star Game of the VTB United League, where he played in the “Old School”, an interesting experience.
The encounter took place in Moscow at the VTB Arena and ended with a score of 148:140 in favor of the Old School.
– Is it fun to play for the “Old School”?
— Yes, it is a very interesting experience for all of us. League – well done for coming up with this format. It was something new. I remembered my childhood when Lev Leshchenko, Tatyana Bulanova and “Inveterate Scammers” performed. I went to school to this music, trained… Of course, I got goosebumps. It was interesting. We saw how worried the spectators were today, how interesting it was for them to watch the match. Every year the league does something new. I think it was a very good show and a very good match.
We couldn’t lose today, the ‘Old School’ had to show the youngsters how to play and where to strive. We couldn’t let the youngsters beat us, because then they were going to say, they say, what should we learn from you… I told the guys before the fourth quarter to play harder. They crushed the opponent with authority,” Fridzon said on MatchTV’s “All for the Match!” show.
