The former CSKA coach became the head coach of NBA club Atlanta

The Atlanta Hawks NBA has announced the appointment of Quin Snyder as the team’s head coach.

The duration of the contract with the 56-year-old specialist is not specified. Earlier in February, Nate McMillan stepped down as Atlanta’s head coach and Joe Prunty took over the team on an interim basis.

Atlanta is eighth in the Eastern Conference with 31 wins in 61 games.

From 2014 to 2022, Snyder coached Utah, which in the past six seasons reached the playoffs, advancing to the conference semifinals three times. In the 2012/13 season he worked as an assistant to the head coach of CSKA Moscow.
