basketball player’s widow Kobe Bryant Vanessa Bryant has reached a $28.85 million settlement over a photo from the scene of a helicopter crash that killed her husband in 2020, according to NBC News, citing an attorney.
This concludes Bryant’s widow’s lawsuit with Los Angeles County in photos taken by rescuers at the crash site on January 26, 2020. The images were later shown or sent to third parties.
According to the attorney, the settlement includes $15 million previously awarded to Vanessa Bryant by a jury. The agreement also resolves all outstanding claims in court and all future claims of the Bryant children.
Former Lakers basketball player Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others have been killed in an accident in Calabasas, northwest of Los Angeles.
Bryant won five NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he played for 20 seasons, and was an 18-time All-Star. He ended his career in 2016. Died at the age of 41.
