Lithuanian basketball player “Zalgiri” Paulus Yankunas announced the end of his professional career, reports the Euroleague press service.
The athlete played for the Lithuanian team for 18 seasons and is a 15-time national champion. In the 2009/10 season he played for Khimki. As a member of the national team, the striker became the bronze medalist of the World Championship and also won the silver and bronze of the European Championship.
Yankunas, 38, holds the Euroleague record for the number of games played (392), as well as the number of rebounds (2010).
