Darwin Ham named new Lakers head coach

NBA club press serviceLos Angeles Lakers announced the appointment of Darwin Ham as head coach.

Lakers reported that a multi-year agreement has been signed with a 48-year-old specialist.

Ham replaced Frank Vogel, under whose leadership the Californians missed the playoffs this season. The specialist has never worked as a head coach before. From 2011 to 2013 he was a member of the Lakers coaching staff and since 2018 he has been an assistant at Milwaukee.

As a player, Ham won the NBA Golden Rings with Detroit in 2004.
