Basketball player “Memphis Grizzlies” Ja Morant has been suspended from the next two NBA games, according to the team’s Twitter page.
Earlier, the league launched an investigation into Morant after a social media broadcast in which he appeared with a gun drawn. Video footage of the incident that occurred Friday after the regular season game against the Denver Nuggets has not been retained.
If the league finds violations in Morant’s actions, he could be fined or suspended for an extended period.
Memphis will play the next two games in Los Angeles against the Clippers and Lakers.
The Grizzlies are second in the NBA Western Conference with 38 wins in 62 games.
