All the more significant is the achievement of CSKA, which secured first place almost a month before the end of the regular season. Their 24-game winning streak is historic and a great gift to Army fans for the club’s 100th anniversary season.
CSKA management, coaching staff and players showed their class and high level of professionalism – the army team is one of the main contenders for the Belov Cup in the decisive part of the championship. Once CSKA secures first place, they will have home advantage at all stages of the playoffs.
At the same time, I can say that the whole struggle is yet to come – the competitors of the army team this season are very strong, and now they continue to fight for the “sowing” in the playoffs. Already there we expect a streak of up to three, and from the semi-finals – up to four victories, which I am sure will become a real decoration of the season, ”Kushchenko told the Championship.
The VTB United League regular season will end on March 26 and the first round of playoffs will start on March 31.
