Kazansky UNICS earned second place ahead of schedule in the regular season of the 2022/23 VTB United League season.
This became known on Monday after the away win in Moscow CSKA about PetersburgZenith (72:69) in the round of 30 of the second stage of the VTB United League. UNICS will not fall below the second line.
In the current tournament season, Kazan showed the best start in club history, starting the league with eight straight wins. After taking second place, the Tatarstan side secured home-court advantage in the first two rounds of playoffs.
Before the end of the regular season, the White-Greens will play two away matches in Krasnodar and St. Petersburg. The second stage will end on March 26 and on March 31 the quarter-finals will begin.
