American basketball player Will Clyburn commented on his departure from Moscow CSKA .
The 32-year-old has been playing for CSKA since 2017, winning the Euroleague in the 2018/19 season.
As you know, sooner or later everything comes to an end. Our family spent most of our children’s childhood in Russia. It truly was a home away from home. I was lucky enough to be part of something really special at this club.
CSKA gave me the opportunity to build a legacy here. However, one of the greatest achievements of my life was winning the Euroleague with this club. Unreal feeling! We have good memories and not so many. And yet, having said that, I wouldn’t change a thing. Over the years of working at CSKA, I have met great people. And I must say that many of them have made me the player I am today.
Thank you to all the players, coaches and medical staff I had the chance to work with! For Andrei [Ватутина]Natasha [Фураевой]Fleas [Андрея Щепанкова]Nika [Николая Цынкевича]Tazu [Александра Гугунишвили]Anthony [Юдина]Dennis [Дениса Годлевского]Courby [Никиты Курбанова] and Simon [Семена Антонова]A: You are unique.
You treated me like family from the first day I arrived. I always felt like we guys were together. All the conversations, jokes, hi-hi-ha-ha, training sessions, dinners, hugs and battles on the pitch will stay in your memory forever, no matter what! Thanks guys for everything! Thank you to the fans who supported us until the end! – Clyburn told the army press service.
In total, the player played 236 games for the club, averaging 12.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.8 steals.
