Defender”Avtodor Malik Newman has won the award for the most scoring player of the season, according to the VTB United League press service.
In the 2022/23 regular season that ended, Newman averaged 18.4 points per game.
UNICS defenseman Daryl Macon finished second on the league’s leading scorers list this season with 17.6 points. CSKA’s Alexey Shved completed the top three (17.0).
Newman is the second Avtodor player to win this award. In the 2016/17 season, Saratov striker Nicholas Minnerath (23.3 points) became the most productive player.
