American shooting guard “BET from Nizhny Novgorod” Jermaine Love was surprised when he learned that Alaska had not belonged to the United States throughout the country’s history.
The league’s press service invited the American to participate in the “Facts about Russia” section, where the question was asked whether Alaska belonged to Russia.
– Alaska belonged to Russia for 135 years? I don’t think that’s true. Why would Russia need it? Did he really belong? Russia gave Alaska to the US? Generally, I could guess when you said around 135, that’s a very specific number,” Love said in a video released by the league’s press office.
