Basketball player “Minnesota” Gobert, suspended for hitting a teammate, returned to the club’s location

Minnesota Timberwolves NBA Center Rudy Gobert returned to the team location after being suspended due to a skirmish with teammate Kyle Anderson, according to ESPN.

The incident happened last week during a game against New Orleans. The players smoothed things over during the timeout, first there was a verbal skirmish and then Gobert punched his opponent in the chest. Separate partner teammates, the Frenchman went to the locker room and no longer went out on the floor. Gobert was then suspended for a playoff against the Los Angeles Lakers (102:108).

We both apologized and carried on. That’s life. There are millions of people watching the video and having an opinion about what happened, but we have no control over it. What we can control is the respect we have for each other.

I still love Kyle, he’s my brother. I tell people, “Sometimes you fight with your family. Sometimes you argue with people you love and respect a lot. Nobody is perfect. Mistakes happen, then you grow up and move on, ESPN quotes Gobert.

The basketball player also noted that he hasn’t fully recovered from his injury, so he doesn’t know for sure if he will feature in the game against Oklahoma on Friday.
