The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has released the basket list ahead of the draw for the third round of the EuroBasket 2025 qualifying tournament. Russian team was not among the participants in the qualification, reports the press service of FIBA.
Basket 1: Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania, Switzerland.
Basket 2: Denmark, Slovakia, Austria, Luxembourg.
Basket 3: Kosovo, Norway, Ireland, Albania.
The 12 countries will be split into four groups of three teams each, with home and away matches played in a round-robin system.
The third round of pre-qualifiers will take place over six game days from July 19 to August 5.
The four teams – the winner of each group – will join the four teams from the second round to fill the field of 32 teams for qualification with the 24 teams that have played in the second round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. .
Earlier, FIBA announced the decision not to allow the Russian team to participate in the pre-qualifying tournament for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
