Qatar hosts another world top tournament
FIBA World Championship in 2027 will accept Qatar. All matches will be held in Doha.
The facilities that will be used during the tournament have already been built. FIBA considered the fact that all the matches will be held in the same city a huge plus. This will provide a unique opportunity for fans to attend a large number of matches.
The 2026 Women’s Basketball World Cup will be held in Berlin (Germany).
Recall that the 2023 FIBA World Championship will be held from August 25 to September 10. The tournament will be hosted by Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan. The 2023 World Cup will be the first in history to be held on the territory of several states at once. 32 teams will take part in the tournament.
In the selection for the 2023 World Cup, the Ukrainian team reached the second stage, but failed to qualify for the main tournament. Ainars Bagatskis’ wards finished fifth in Group L with 14 points.
