Qatar has secured the right to host the FIBA Men’s Basketball World Cup 2027. official website of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
All matches in the tournament will take place in Doha.
— The FIBA Central Board was impressed with the bid submitted by the Qatar Basketball Federation. I would like to congratulate them on behalf of the Board of Directors for the quality work they have already done in drafting the application. We are all looking forward to the tournament becoming another great FIBA event,” said the organization’s president, Hamane Nyang.
It should be noted that in making the decision, FIBA was impressed with the bid, especially the elements related to the compactness of the geographical location, the unique flexibility in planning tournament venues to better serve the fans, as well as the focus on sustainable development.
