The head coach “Paris Nizhny Novgorod” Zoran Lukic extended the contract with the basketball club, reports the press service of the team.
The deal with the 51-year-old Serbian specialist is calculated until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Lukic first led the Nizhny Novgorod team in 2008 and left the position in 2014. He returned to the position in 2017. Under Lukic’s leadership, the Nizhny Novgorod team became silver medalists of the VTB United League in 2014 and won the 2023 Russian Cup. In 2021, the Serbian was named the best coach in the Champions League. Since 2021, Lukic has led the Russian national team.
This season, Pari NN lost to Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar in the quarter-finals of the United League qualifiers.
