Executive Director of the Russian Basketball Federation (RBF) Volodymyr Diachok on air, praised the VTB United League for their decision to play the tournament semi-final playoffs down to four wins.
Both sets of VTB United League playoff semi-finals this season lasted until Game 7. As a result, Lokomotiv-Kuban defeated CSKA, and UNICS Kazan turned out to be stronger than Zenit St. Petersburg.
