Athletistic/Basketball. Sergei Elevich, honored basketball coach of Russia, spoke about what happened to CSKA defender Alexei Shved. On the evening of May 1, Shved was resting in one of the Moscow restaurants, when he was beaten by a drunken company on the way out of the establishment. As a result of the fight, the athlete suffered a fracture of the temporal bone, an open craniocerebral injury and a fracture of the base of the skull.
“I know Alexei and his family well. According to my information, he was not drunk that evening. Injuring a person in the center of Moscow, knowing who he is, is a manifestation of banditry. I hope that the police will carry out a thorough investigation. We need to create such conditions that normal and adequate people, regardless of their notoriety, feel safe,” Elevich said in an interview with the Podmoskovye Segodnya portal.
