CSKA basketball club press officer Nikolai Tsynkevich has spoken out about the condition of the team’s defender Alexei Shved after the scandalous incident on May 1 at a Moscow restaurant. As a result of the attack of a drunken company, the athlete received serious injuries: a fracture of the temporal bone, an open craniocerebral injury and a fracture of the base of the skull.
However, Tsynkevich noted that Shved’s condition is stable and doctors say there is no threat to his life. In the near future, the basketball player will not be able to play, but the team hopes for his speedy recovery and return to the field, because he is one of the best players in the country and in Europe.
