LeBron James becomes the first player in NBA playoff history to score 8,000 points

Los Angeles Lakers forward james lebron in Game 4 of the ½ final series against the Denver Nuggets, he reached the 8,000 point mark for his NBA playoff career, according to the league’s press service.

The 38-year-old basketball player became the first in NBA playoff history to reach this milestone.

In NBA playoff history, James holds the lead in scoring by a wide margin. Followed by Michael Jordan (5987), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (5762), Kobe Bryant (5640) and Shaquille O’Neal (5250).

The Los Angeles Lakers ended their playoff run this season with a 0-4 semifinal loss to the Denver Nuggets. After the game, James, when asked about his future in basketball, said he “had a lot to think about”.
