CSKA head coach Emile Raikovitch said he had mixed feelings after the VTB United League season.
Over the past season, basketball players CSKA won bronze medals in the tournament, beating Zenit Saint Petersburg 4-1 in the series.
– We wanted to be in the first place, we spent almost the whole season there and did a lot of good things. We have set many records and won many matches. But they had problems in the semi-final against Lokomotiv-Kuban.
It was two weeks of failures, when we injured Milutinov and Shved, who had not recovered from two months without a training match. This period has been problematic for them and for all of us. But the series with Zenit has shown that we overcome problems and come through difficulties well. We have a great team, the streak continued as it happens when you fight for the top spot. In the end, it’s a disappointment that we didn’t take first place, but for most of the season we did a great job. It was a mixture of feelings.
– Are you staying at the club?
“I have a valid contract with the club,” a correspondent quoted Raikovich as saying.
