O France won the São Paulo by 92 to 68, at Ginásio Pedrocão, and won the second championship of Novo Basquete Brasil. The team confirmed the triumph this Saturday, 10, for Game 5 of the decisive series, and won the title of the 2022/23 season.
Georginho was the scorer of the match, with 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists; the former Tricolor player was elected the MVP of the Finals and won the Amaury Passos trophy. São Paulo, which was trying to win the title for the first time, had as its highest scorer Tulio Silvawith 20 points.
Franca was the absolute leader of the first phase, with an incredible 32 points in 32 games, and had no difficulties in advancing to the playoffs of the national competition. At the end of 2022, the team won the Campeonato Paulista, beating São Paulo.
