THE GAME

1ST PERIOD

Before four minutes, Boston was aggressive and managed to dig in two fouls each from Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. GS managed to convert the first of three with just under eight minutes to go.

The visiting team started to control turnovers and managed to balance the confrontation to take the advantage of Boston. Golden State had a run from 11 to 0 in the final minutes, amending a sequence of three threes (one of them by Green), and ended the fourth winning by 27 to 22. Curry, who passed zero in threes in the game 5, converted one to turn the score around.

2ND PERIOD

With the bench making a difference, the second period kicked off with Jordan Poole hitting a 3 to get the Warriors off to a killer start. With just over ten minutes to go, the home team made it 10-0 (being a 21-0 streak, adding up the periods) in the partial and opened up a 15-point lead over the Celtics. The lead was the longest streak in NBA history for the past 50 years.

All that remained for Boston was the timeouts. The ‘fast’ was broken by one of Brown’s three. The Celtics won the fourth 27-22 and went into the last period losing 76-66. If on the one hand Stephen Curry shone for the Warriors, reaching the mark of 150 balls out of three in the NBA Finals, on the other hand, Jason Tatum passed erased with only 11 points.

4th PERIOD

In the last and decisive period, Golden State started ahead with a dunk by Gary Payton, but Boston did not stray and remained glued to the scoreboard, with 8-6 in the partial for the visitors. With six minutes to go, the Warriors were up 10-9 and had an 11-point lead: 86-75.

The final minutes followed with attack and response, but GS maintained the slight advantage in the partial to be 93 to 81 with three and a half minutes to go. Coach’s words

Steve Kerr now has an incredible nine NBA championship rings, four of which were won as a coach and five as a player. The Warriors’ commander began the press conference by talking precisely about the team’s feelings regarding their most recent achievement, which he had classified as ‘almost impossible’.

“Each title is unique, all are special. But I think this was the most unlikely of all from the point of view of how we’ve performed in recent years. There were many doubts, the injury of Klay, Draymond and Curry. new team, full of young people around our core. It’s special to see guys like Wiggins, Looney, Payton and Poole playing, the impact they’ve had.” said Kerr.
