UNICS reached an agreement to continue cooperation with the head coach Velimir Perasovich according to the basketball team’s press service.
A new contract with a 58-year-old Croatian specialist has been signed as part of the 1+1 scheme.
— Last season we won the VTB United League, and each of us wants to repeat this success next year. With such ambitions, we will work in the new season. The summer period is extremely important for building a team, and we are ready to work hard,” said Perasovich.
Perasovich took charge of the Kazan team in June 2021. Last season, UNICS under the guidance of a Croatian coach became the champion of the VTB United League for the first time. In the semi-finals, the Kazan team beat Zenit St. Petersburg (4-3) in a seven-match confrontation, and in the final series they beat Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar (4-1) .
