19-year-old center Victor Vembanyama is already recognized as the greatest talent of his generation.

The 2023 National Basketball Association Draft has ended in the United States. There were no surprises, and Victor Vembanyama was elected under the first number. The young French center, who has been called the top talent of a generation, will play for San Antonio.

The 19-year-old 220-centimeter basketball player has spent his entire career up to this point in France, and now he will play under the guidance of the legendary Greg Popovich.

“I can’t describe it. One of the best feelings of my life. Probably the best night of my life. I dreamed about it for so long. The dream came true. It’s incredible,” Vembanyama said.

This is only the third time in San Antonio history that they have been selected with the first pick. The first two influenced the legacy of the entire NBA. In 1987, the Texans first drafted center David Robinson, who went on to become a two-time league champion with the Spurs. In 1997, the club selected Tim Duncan as the first number, who then brought five championships to San Antonio.
