Moscow CSKA has reached a new agreement with American defender Casper Ware, according to the basketball club’s website.
The contract with the 31-year-old is for two years.
– I am happy to tell the fans that I will return to Moscow and spend another two years at CSKA. I’m glad to have received a contract extension offer and look forward to getting back to work. I want to thank everyone at the club for believing in me, for giving me this opportunity,” Ware said.
“Casper has every chance of becoming a real favorite of our fans,” said CSKA president Andrey Vatutin. – In addition to the fact that “small” players always arouse special sympathy, he has already given us a huge amount of emotions with incredible blows in the final series. In doing so, Ware proved himself to be an intelligent player, quickly fitting into team play at the end of the season, and an excellent teammate. We have no doubts about Casper’s professional qualities.
Ware moved to CSKA in March from Yenisei Krasnoyarsk. The American spent 19 games averaging 12.2 points, 1.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
