Athletistic/Basketball. Jonas Jerebko, a Swedish former National Basketball Association (NBA) player who was suspended from the national team at the upcoming World Cup due to a contract with CSKA, has admitted he regrets his decision to sign a deal with the Russian club in 2022.
“I haven’t played for almost a year and a half and haven’t had any other offers. I received an offer from CSKA and decided to accept it. Then I didn’t thought that in basketball, but everything turned out differently. Now I regret that decision and if I could go back to the past, I wouldn’t have done it,” Yerebko admitted in an interview with Reuters.
He also pointed out that he has been professionally involved in basketball since he was 18 and spent two months at CSKA. He noted that money was not the deciding factor and admitted that he had no idea how to return to the NBA, so he accepted the Russian club’s offer. He does not want to blame anyone, believing that the responsibility lies with himself.
