Center Devontay Kaykok exercised the corresponding contractual option and paid PBC CSKA compensation in order to continue his career in another team, reports the press service of the Moscow club.
Kaykok joined CSKA last season after leaving the overseas G-league. The American played 20 games, averaging 9.6 points and 5.6 rebounds.
– It’s a shame to part ways with DC, as he fit naturally into our team, added confidence under shields and a fighting character, demonstrated professionalism, has the ability to interact with partners and fell in love with the fans. We were counting on him for the coming season, but we understood that NBA and Euroleague clubs could apply for a player of his level. Kaycock certainly deserves the opportunity to play in top tournaments and we sincerely wish him the best of luck. We will continue to work on the transfer market, we will try to find a worthy replacement,” PBC CSKA President Andrey Vatutin said.
CSKA became the VTB United League bronze medalists last season.
