Prometheus will play in the Latvian-Estonian League in the 2023/24 season

The team from Slobozhansky decided to defend their champion status.

Prometheus will take part in the next draw of the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League, reports the club’s official website.

The current LEBL champions are on the list of teams to play in the 2023/24 season.

Latvia will be represented by teams such as VEF (Riga), Ventspils, Ogre, Liepaja, University of Latvia, Valmiera and Riga Lelli, and Estonia by Kalev/Kramo, Tartu, Pärnu, Viimsi, Rapla, Tal/Tech, Keila, Kalev (Tallinn).

There will be one replacement next season: Estonian Rakvere Tarvas will be replaced by Latvian Riga Zelli.

In the first stage, a two-round tournament will be held, after which eight teams will be determined, which will play in the playoffs.

In the 1/4 and 1/2 finals there will be a series of up to two wins. The champion will be determined within a match on the site of the team that will take the higher place in the main tournament.

Earlier, Prometheus released a statement saying that the club has applied for participation in the Ukrainian Premier League.
