The United States Basketball Federation announces its roster for the 2023 World Cup

The United States Basketball Federation (USA Basketball) has announced the national team roster for the 2023 World Cup on the website.

The tournament will take place from August 25 to September 10 in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The American team included the following players: Paolo Bankero (Orlando Magic), Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson (both Brooklyn Nets), Jaylen Brunson, Josh Hart (both New York Knicks), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Brandon Ingram (New Orleans Pelicans), Jaren Jackson (Memphis Grizzlies), Walker Kessler (Utah Jazz), Bobby Portis (Milwaukee Bucks) and Austin Reeves (Los Angeles Lakers).

“The coaching staff and I are very happy to work with such talented players. I’m sure this team will adequately represent our country, putting in the effort and showing the desire to win. We look forward to fighting for World Cup gold medals,” said head coach Steve Kerr.

The American team has won the World Cup five times. In the 2019 tournament, the Americans finished seventh.
