The first NBA Cup will begin on November 3 and end on December 9, 2023. The title will be decided at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The The NBA announced the first NBA In-Season Tournament, a tournament that is played annually in November and December and considers regular season matches before settling into a single-match elimination phase.
The first NBA Cup, name that this new competition will have, it starts on November 3 and ends on December 9, 2023.
The semifinals and the final will be held at T Mobile Arena Las Vegas (USA) in the “final four” format, from December 7 to 9. Before arriving in the city of the game, the 30 NBA teams will be divided into six groups of five considering their balances from last season.

What about the format of the tournament announced by the NBA
From November 3 to 28, cEach team will play four games on Tournament Nights (tournament nights), regular season matches also count towards this new competition.
Each team will play two home and two away games and face each of their group rivals one at a time. The six best teams from each group qualify for the next round along with the two ‘wildcards’that for the best second of every conference.
The The quarterfinals will be played in single matches on December 4 and 5 before the four remaining teams travel to Las Vegas to decide the champion. With the exception of the NBA In-Season Tournament final, the other 66 games in this new tournament will count toward the balance of the regular season.
In addition to the NBA Cup, the league will put cash prizes up for grabs for players on teams that make it past the group stage and it will grow depending on how far those teams go. For example, the champion team’s players will take home half a million dollars and the runners-up will pocket $200,000.
