“Boston Celtics agreed to extend the contract with the striker Kristaps Porzingis according to the NBA club press service.
Earlier there were reports that Porzingis will sign a new two-year contract, for which he will earn $60 million. The Latvian player became a Celtics player at the end of June in a three-way trade involving Memphis.
Porzingis was selected by the New York Knicks with the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. The 27-year-old played in 402 career games and averaged 19.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1 .8 assists and 1.8 blocks.
