Fortune winked Orlando Magic Y there will be a first pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, held on Thursday, June 23 at the Barclays Center in New York, for winning the Lottery. The Draft is the possibility offered by the NBA to match the performance of franchises by suggesting that those with the worst records next season before the event are the first to pick among the top college or international club prospects.
The Lottery is a draw between teams that do not enter the playoffs and determines the order of the first elections. The Orlando Magic won the first pick, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets were second and third, respectively.. The selection order is immutable because franchises use these selection possibilities as currency of exchange and negotiation.
There are two rounds of the draft and teams have five minutes to decide on the first choice and two minutes on the second.
The rights of the selected players became exclusively linked to the franchise that selected them to subsequently make the contractual arrangements that allowed them to play official matches. The NBA has established a salary scale for novices so fixing the link is not a problem.
Jabari Smith Jr., Chet Holmgren and Paolo Banchero These are the best projects and they are definitely the first three to choose. From the outside the Frenchman Ousmane Dieng and the Serbian Nikola Jovic They are the most likely to be selected in the first round.
