“I said to Steve Kerr on the NBA TV podium, ‘Look, I’m going to do like Michael Jordan. I’m not going to play for anyone but Steve.’ That’s my plan. It would be weird to wear another team’s kit. So I’m just grateful to be here,” Thompson said on The Volume podcast.
The title with “Golden State” was already the fourth for Thompson. The 32-year-old has been with the Warriors throughout his career since 2011.
