American basketball player from Minnesota obtains Chinese nationality

NBA club strikerMinnesota Wolves Kyle Anderson has received Chinese nationality, reports L’Equipe, citing the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

It should be noted that the 29-year-old basketball player was called Lee Kaier. His great-grandfather is from China. Now Anderson has the right to represent the Asian team on the international stage.

Anderson moved to Minnesota in 2022. He previously played for the Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs.

The Chinese team will play in the 2023 World Cup, which will take place from August 25 to September 10 in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines. The Chinese rivals in the group stage will be teams from Serbia, South Sudan and Puerto Rico.
