CSKA needs an attacking goalkeeper, says club vice-president Furaeva

Vice President of Basketball CSKA Natalia Furaeva told that to build the full squad for the upcoming season, the Rouge-Bleu needed an attacking defender.

Previously, the contracts with the army team were extended by Nikita Kurbanov, Semyon Antonov, Ivan Ukhov, Anton Astapkovich and Livio Jean-Charles. In addition, the ranks of the off-season “red-blue” joined defender Nikita Mikhailovsky, striker Amat Mbay, center Tony Jackiri and defender Melo Trimble. Alexey Shved, whose deal with CSKA expired at the end of the 2022/23 season, announced in early August that he was leaving the Moscow club. Nikola Milutinov, Dejan Davidovac and Devonte Kaykok also left the team.

– What is the percentage of staff in the team for the coming season?

– I won’t talk about the percentage, but we are looking for another player – an attacking defender. However, for starters, we decided to look at the team when it comes together to understand what it’s all about. Still, there are plenty of new players in the roster. Because imagining it is one thing, but seeing it live is completely different. And after that, it is already necessary to form a final task for this last player, according to his qualities,” Furaeva told a correspondent.
