Captain national team of Ukraine basketball Vyacheslav Kravtsov became the best scorer in the history of the national team.
Kravtsov scored 15 points in the match with Croatia in pre-qualification for the 2024 Olympics. Vyacheslav reached 603 points for his career in the national team, beating the result of Sergey Lishchuk by 7 points (596). The third in the list of the most productive players of the national team is Leonid Yaylo (558 points).
The Ukrainian national team lost to Croatia in the semi-finals of the Olympic pre-qualification (70:85). In the group round, the blue-yellows defeated the teams of Bulgaria and Iceland, and lost to Turkey in the battle for the first place.
The Ukrainian men’s national team dropped out of the fight for the Olympic ticket. Only the winner of the pre-qualification tournament will be admitted to the main Olympic qualification. Croatia will challenge this title with the winner of the Sweden-Türkiye pair.
